today's date. It considers which planet rules the weekday, where that planet currently
sits relative to your chart, which longer planetary period (Dasha) is active in your
life right now, and how today's Moon relates to your birth star. The result is a
forecast built around your chart specifically.
How is this actually calculated? (technical explanation)
The daily forecast combines several factors: the day-lord (the planet ruling the
weekday) and its current transit house from your Lagna; your active Mahadasha and
Antardasha (the current and sub-current planetary periods in the Vimshottari Dasha
system); your Nakatha status — a nine-category cycle (Janma, Sampath, Vipath, Kshema,
Prathyari, Sadhaka, Wadha, Maithree, Parama Maithree) measuring how today's transiting
Moon nakshatra relates to your birth nakshatra; and the transiting Moon's current sign
and nakshatra. Some categories in this cycle are traditionally read as more favourable,
others as calling for extra care — Kendaraya explains which applies today, in plain

tradition has long used the Muhurtha Panchaka Shuddhiya method to check whether a
specific proposed date and time is auspicious for exactly this kind of significant
event.
How it works: the method combines four traditional factors from the
moment being checked — the weekday, the nakshatra, the tithi (lunar day), and the
lagna — into a single total. Depending on the result, the moment is classified as
Shuddha (pure) or as one of five traditional caution categories: Mrityu, Agni, Raja,
Chora, or Roga.
Pancha Pakshi ("five birds") is a traditional South Indian and Sri Lankan system that
assigns each person a birth bird based on their birth nakshatra. Throughout each day

The astronomical layer calculates exactly where the Sun, Moon, and
every other planet were at the precise moment and location of your birth, using Swiss
Ephemeris — the calculation engine widely used in professional astrology software — in

Sidereal astrology needs a starting-point adjustment called an ayanamsha. Kendaraya
uses two, for two different purposes: Lahiri ayanamsha for your chart
display — planet signs, sign lords, and house placements — and
Krishnamurti ayanamsha for KP-specific calculations — your nakshatra
sub-lord, sub-sub-lord, and Dasha timing. This isn't one setting doing double duty; it's
the correct ayanamsha applied to each calculation.
The astrological layer takes those calculated positions and applies
Kendaraya's interpretive rules — the Porondam factors, the yoga catalogue, the KP
significator method, the timing traditions — to produce your reading. The ephemeris
tells us where the planets are. Kendaraya's engines tell us what that traditionally

What is KP astrology?
KP — Krishnamurti Paddhati — is an analytical method developed in the 20th century by
K. S. Krishnamurti. It isn't ancient; it's a structured refinement built on top of
classical Vedic astrology's nakshatra system, designed to answer specific yes-or-no
questions with more precision than a general reading allows.

You can still register and use features that don't depend heavily on exact timing. If the system needs a placeholder time to proceed, it will tell you clearly — this does not produce the same completeness as an accurate birth time for Lagna, house-based, and KP analysis.
